What platform will my website be built on?

All SQUARE MOON websites are custom-built on the Squarespace development platform. We can start with a Squarespace template of your choice, then customise it with your logo, brand colours, marketing copy, images and whatever elements, pages and sections you need. Or we can start from scratch. It’s your choice.

Will I be able to update my website easily?

Yes, once your website is designed and built, Squarespace is an easy platform for you to use and update content. We will show you and your staff how to do that in a one-hour training session.

How long will my website take to build?

Most websites take between 1 - 4 weeks to complete. Online stores can take a few more weeks as there are extra processes to create, design requirements and information required. Before any project begins you must pay a 50% deposit and supply SQUARE MOON with the following brand assets.

• Project brief, which we will send to you to complete

• Quality logo files in various formats, supplied in transparent png format

• Brand style guide with brand colours and font suggestions. We can choose this for you if you do not have it. We will make every effort to choose fonts and colours related to your brand style, but keep in mind not every font is available as web font.

• All written copy, including general brand selling points, propositions, product names, categories, pricing, terms, shipping details etc.

• Business details for your online store: Business ABN, address, etc.

• Quality brand lifestyle photos and product images (if you don’t have any we can arrange a photo shoot or help you purchase stock imagery

Are there any other costs involved?

The fee paid to SQUARE MOON covers the delivery of a finished website based on the options chosen (and paid for) by the client (you). Here are a few things that are not included in the fee.

• Squarespace website hosting, which is a monthly fee paid directly to Squarespace. You will receive a 20% discount on the first year because we are a Squarespace Circle Member. This is a yearly fee paid by you directly to Squarespace.

• Domain registration fees if you need to buy a new website URL. This can be purchased directly through Squarespace, which we recommend (we can do this for you), or through another domain seller. You pay this yearly fee directly to Squarespace or your chosen domain seller.

• You may also incur ongoing costs from other third-party applications and services on your site. We will let you know what your site requires and ask your permission before making any purchases on your behalf.

• Additional design, photography, copywriting and maintenance services requested by you will be charged in addition to the original fee.
